Adoption Process
Misty Eyes has wonderful dogs, puppies, cats and kittens who are waiting to find their forever homes. In addition to our Kitty City shelter building, we remain a foster-based rescue, meaning that most of our animals are living in foster homes.
Visit the Misty Eyes Adoption Center on weekends.
During that time, several of our adoptable pets are on-location and available to meet potential adopters. We publish information about the pets who will be at the Adoption Center on Facebook, Instagram, and Tiktok. If you are interested in meeting a pet who will not be at the center, we are happy to make arrangements for a meet and greet!
The First Step Toward Adoption:
Submit an Application!
Our goal in placing pets is to ensure the best fit for the pet and the family.
Therefore, we do not grant adoptions on a first-come, first-served basis. You can apply for a specific pet, or you can apply based on characteristics such as type, size, age, etc. Applications submitted for a specific pet will be reviewed to determine the best match. Applications will be kept on file for a minimum of six months.
